Students of BSc Accounting taking steps to career success through preparation for the CFA Programme
The University of Nicosia has become the latest university to be welcomed into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme. Its BSc Accounting programme has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Programme Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct within the programme. This programme positions students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charter, which is perceived as one of the most respected and recognised investment credentials in the world.
Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Programme signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that UNIC’s curriculum is closely tied to professional practise and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this programme, the University of Nicosia is eligible to receive a limited number of CFA Programme Student Scholarships each year.
The Accounting programme aims to provide students with the theoretical, technical, and empirical background necessary for financial problem-solving and financial decision-making within the complex and changing business environment.
