University of Nicosia Represents Erasmus Initiatives at Eurodesk Multipliers Seminar in Brussels

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) proudly participated in the Eurodesk Multipliers Seminar, held from 21 to 22 May 2025 in Brussels. Ms. Marianna Michael, Head of UNIC’s Erasmus Office, was selected by the Cyprus National Agency to represent the University at this significant European meeting, reaffirming UNIC’s leadership in promoting European opportunities.

The seminar convened 49 Eurodesk multipliers from 20 countries for two days of training, networking, and updates on Eurodesk initiatives. Representing a Eurodesk Multiplier for the past three years, Ms. Michael’s participation highlights UNIC’s ongoing commitment to fostering opportunities for mobility and collaboration across Europe.

The seminar agenda featured key updates on the upcoming Time to Move 2025 campaign and discussions on incorporating artificial intelligence into inclusive communication strategies. Presentations from the European Commission and the Youth Partnership of the European Commission and the Council of Europe offered valuable insights into emerging trends and strategic priorities in European youth policy.

Ms. Michael contributed to the seminar by sharing UNIC’s experiences in promoting Erasmus+ and other mobility programmes. The event also provided a platform to foster future collaborations and explore new opportunities to further enhance educational and professional development for students and staff.

As part of the event, Ms. Michael reconnected with UNIC alumna Ms. Anastasia Andreou, currently interning at Eurodesk Brussels. This reunion served as a reflection of UNIC’s growing network of alumni engaged in European institutions and initiatives.

Looking ahead, the University’s Erasmus Office aims to integrate the insights gained from the seminar into upcoming activities. These efforts will strengthen UNIC’s engagement in international programmes and expand access to opportunities throughout Europe. As a committed Eurodesk Multiplier, UNIC continues to empower its community by connecting them with meaningful international initiatives.
