University of Nicosia: GNOSIS | Hosting the kick-off meeting of the PRAISE Project

On 27 October 2025, partners from the University of Nicosia (CY), University of Patras (GR)Fundación Flors (ES),  Politehnica University of Bucharest (RO) and MERAKI Projectes (ES) gathered at the University of Nicosia for the Kick-Off Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “PRAISE – Programming, Robotics, and AI Skills for Educators-in-Training.”

The meeting marked the official start of our project to equip future primary and secondary educators with the digital, programming, robotics, and AI competences needed to prepare students for the world of tomorrow.

During the meeting, partners presented project objectives, methodology, and quality assurance mechanisms, discussed the integration of Programming, Robotics & AI frameworks in teacher training, as well as planned engaging learning resources for classrooms and discussed the project’s visual identity and dissemination strategy.

Activities

PRAISE aims to enhance digital education by equipping pre-service teachers with essential programming, AI, and robotics skills, addressing the growing need for digital competencies in an increasingly digitalised world. The project will deliver an open-access AI, programming, and robotics curriculum, featuring an online activity book, training modules, video tutorials, and digital resources. It will enhance educators’ digital skills, promote inclusive and sustainable teaching practices, and support cross-border collaboration through EU education platforms.
