Following the Cooperation Agreement of last September, the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) and the University of Nicosia renewed the ten-year cooperation that had been in place until now, for the clinical training of the students of the School of Medicine of the University of Nicosia in the Clinical Department of CING.

The Agreement was signed on January 12, 2023, by the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, Professor Leonidas Phylactos, and by the Dean of the Medical School of the University of Nicosia, Professor Adonis Ioannides.

The continuation of the cooperation and its official sealing is a mutual desire of the two parties and consolidates the synergies between them while creating opportunities to expand the cooperation in other areas of common interest.

“The trust shown to us by the University of Nicosia makes us particularly proud, as it recognizes in practice the work and contribution of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics, which contributes to the education of students by offering them a comprehensive education, while giving them the means to complete to the maximum of their studies and to prepare properly for their smooth integration into the medical profession” said Professor Leonidas Phylaktos. He noted that “the two organisations will be able to benefit even more, in the academic and research field by expanding their cooperation in other areas of common interest”.

Professor Adonis Ioannides added that “The School of Medicine of the University of Nicosia gives great importance in providing its students with opportunities for high-level clinical training and I am particularly happy about the renewal of the training partnership with the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. The Institute and the School of Medicine share a commitment to excellence in education, research and service to society, and I look forward to further developing the relationship between the two organisations.”
