On 29 January 2025, the University of Limassol and the Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) Cyprus Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The Memorandum was signed by the Rector of the University, Professor Theodoros Panayiotou, and the President of ECR Cyprus, Mr. Mikellis Christou.
ECR Cyprus, which is part of the strength of the sectoral associations of the KEBE, is the stationary association for the entire Cypriot market, which aims to implement good practices in the entire retail service chain, in order to provide quality products and services to the Cypriot consumer.
The aim of the collaboration is to engage the academic community in the field of Cypriot retailing with the aim of upgrading it, through the conduct of research, which will aim to better identify the needs of the consumer and the opportunities offered by the Cypriot market.
Within the framework of the cooperation, UoL will grant scholarships to executives of ECR Cyprus member companies, emphasizing the upgrading of human resources and the utilization of new technologies and knowledge. In turn, ECR Cyprus will offer jobs to UoL students and graduates in order to gain market experience in real-life conditions.
