Dr. Markella Grigoriou presented her collaborative research at the European Congress of Psychiatry in Madrid, Spain, in collaboration with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London, UK. The study investigates how impulsivity, emotional regulation, and family dynamics influence adolescent mental health. Using data from the NKI-Rockland Sample (New York, USA), the team used advanced behavioural profiling and predictive modelling to uncover hidden risk patterns that can guide early and targeted interventions. These insights contribute to the advancement of precision psychiatry and clinical psychology, emphasising the importance of gender-responsive and family-centred approaches in supporting youth mental health.
