On September 3, 2025, a delegation of the University of Cyprus and representatives of Sveučilište u Rijeci / University of Rijeka visited the University Computing Centre (SRCE) as part of the CoARA Boost project funded through the Horizon Europe programme.
The aim of the project is to improve the practices of evaluating scientific activity at the universities of Rijeka and Cyprus through the transfer of knowledge, the improvement of skills and resources, and the promotion of open science.
During the visit, SRCE representatives, the Director of the Ivan Maric and the Head of the Data Services Sector Draženko Celjak presented SRCE’s results in the field of open science and open access, with a special emphasis on SRCE’s data services and the management of the national repository platform Dabar.
The Digital Academic Archives and Repositories (DABAR) system currently includes 185 repositories in which, since its establishment in 2015, more than 310,000 digital objects have been stored. Its re-implementation to the new version of the system is underway, and it will be significantly improved with numerous new functionalities.
The Sveučilište u Rijeci / University of Rijeka is coordinating the CoARA Boost project, funded through the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme: “Open Science Collaboration for Research Career Advancement and Policy Innovation at UNIRI and UCY (OSCAR)”.
