The project, Education in Living Labs. The project aims to strengthen the necessary horizontal and participatory skills of students of academic institutions, and in particular of future architects and urban planners, by involving them in participatory projects in real environments. It also aims to expose them to innovation and entrepreneurship in partnership with the business sector and public authorities, supporting the development of participatory skills for governmental and citizen stakeholders.

PS-U-GO’s interdisciplinary approach ensures the project’s impact on various groups, including students of architecture and urban design, sociology and other related fields, policy and decision makers, citizens interested in sustainability and governance of cities.  The results of the project will serve in the long term to adapt and replicate such a methodology by integrating it into existing training activities.

PS-U-GO will run for three years and will include a series of participatory activities in each city implementing the urban workshops, other training activities and exchanges of experiences between the partners. The main objective is to initiate and foster a long-term relationship between academic institutions, governing bodies and civil society, emphasizing the participation of young people in urban initiatives and the development of a sense of ownership and responsibility for their urban environments.
