We are proud to announce that on 4th March 2025 the University signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Private Institute of Xenia Tsolaki Metaxa, based in Limassol, whereby the aim is to strengthen the collaboration between the two Institutions within the areas of teaching, research and applied experience.
The MoU will further enhance existing collaboration between the University and XTMPI, including the co-organisation of the Cyprus Creative Writing Competition, career seminars and teaching methodology workshops, as well as internships for the English Language and Literature students.
During the signing ceremony at the premises of UCLan Cyprus, the Academic Director of XTMPI, Dr. Xenia Tsolaki Metaxa stated:
“We are deeply honoured to join forces with UCLan Cyprus and embark on a new educational journey with the signature of the MOU. We will work hard, with enthusiasm and commitment to ‘touch the lives’ of many students who will join us on this journey. We thank the Rector, Prof. Polycarpou, Prof. Glyptis and Ass. Prof. Kanikli for instrumenting this great collaboration! XTMPI has been a leading educational institution and exam centre for the last 35 years and its activities and vision match the vision of UCLan Cyprus: quality education with a social emotional character! We have always valued a humanistic approach as our experience has taught us to align with what Aristotle left us as a legacy: ethos (character), logos (communication) and pathos (passion) are crucial in whatever goals we pursue in life. Our collaboration with UCLan Cyprus so far has been proven extraordinary and that is our vision for the future.”
The Rector of UCLan Cyprus, Professor Irene Polycarpou emphasised the importance of the collaboration between the two institutions by stating: “We are pleased to formalise our collaboration through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding with XTM Private Institute. This collaboration has already proven to be a success, demonstrating the value of our shared vision and commitment to excellence, especially in the field of English Language & Literature. Thus, this MoU builds on a strong foundation for strengthening our collaboration for greater impact and shared achievements in education and research.”
