On September 28th, The Cyprus Institute’s NI4OS-Europe team participated in the EOSC regional event in Budapest, Hungary. The event, which took place at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, brought together partners from 15 countries in the Eastern European and Mediterranean regions. The status of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and the contributions of NI4OS-Europe to Open Science and EOSC were discussed.

CyI Assoc. Prof. Theodoros Christoudias and CyI Assoc. Prof. George Artopoulos chaired the Climate Science and Digital Cultural Heritage Services sessions. CyI Computational Scientist Andreas Athenodorou chaired the Interdisciplinary Services session, while CyI Computational Scientist Chrysovalantis Constantinou and CyI PhD Student / Graduate Research Assistant Kyriakos Sofokleous gave talks on “Open access web application for metric skeletal sex estimation” and “Reduced precision chemical kinetics in atmospheric models”, respectively.
