The Cyprus Institute played a prominent role in shaping the discussions at the 2023 Cyprus Forum, where several distinguished staff participated in key sessions and panels. The Cyprus Forum was held September 29-30, 2023, in Nicosia, where attendees had the opportunity to engage with experts and leaders on critical topics shaping the future of Cyprus and the broader region. Attendees included the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, and the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Mrs Annita Demetriou.
CyI President, Prof. Stavros Malas, presented a keynote speech on “Navigating the Treacherous Path: From Research Excellence to Successful Commercialization”, while CaSToRC Director, Prof. Constantine Dovrolis, participated in the panel discussion “Artificial Intelligence: Friend or Foe?”. CyI Asst. Vice-President on Strategy and Development, Dr. Konstantinos Kleovoulou, moderated the panel discussion “Flexibility as a Driver for Innovation”. The CyI representatives brought their expertise and provided insight to discussions on innovation, research commercialization, and the role of artificial intelligence, all within the broader context of transparency and responsible policy-making.

The Cyprus Forum is an independent, ambitious, and not-for-profit conference, organized by Oxygono, in association with the Delphi Economic Forum.
