The Cyprus Institute (Nicosia), in collaboration with the National Centre for Archaeology (Beijing), is delighted to invite you to the annual lecture series on Archaeological Science, taking place on Tuesday, 15 September, at the Andreas Mouskos Auditorium at The Cyprus Institute.
The event will commence with welcoming remarks by the President of The Cyprus Institute Professor Stavros Malas, followed by addresses from H.E. Deputy Minister of Culture Dr. Clea Hadjistephanou Papaellina, the Director of the Department of Antiquities, Dr. Giorgos Georgiou, the H.E. Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, YANG Yundong and the Vice Director of the National Centre for Archaeology China, ZHANG Zhiguo.
The programme will feature lectures on ancient glass in China and the Eastern Mediterranean, archaeometallurgical slag systems and copper alloys in Cyprus, large-scale conservation projects, and pastoralism and ancient DNA (aDNA) research in China.
