Open University of Cyprus: New Erasmus+ Research Project: “ADMIT: generative Ai anD large language Models In higher education”

The Open University of Cyprus (OUC) participates with a research team led by Professor Loizos Michael (Computational Cognition Lab and Joint M.Sc. Programme in “Cognitive Systems”) in the new three-year Erasmus+ project “ADMIT: generative Ai anD large language Models In higher educaTion”. ADMIT is a collaborative partnership project between higher distance learning institutions aiming at developing a comprehensive LLM-ed framework and guidelines, and establishing the necessary educational and ethical conditions for the utilization of ChatGPT and Large Language Models (LLM) in general to enhance teaching and learning in higher education. The consortium aspires to stay updated with the latest in AI research and innovation, formulating ethical guidelines, and designing professional development modules for staff across Europe.

The project coordinator is EADTU (European Association of Distance Teaching Universities) and participating Universities are the following: UNED (Spain), Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Spain), FernUniversität in Hagen (Germany), Open Universiteit Nederland (Netherland), Open University of Cyprus, Uninettuno (Italy), JYU Open (Finland), Hellenic Open University (Greece), Anadolu University (Turkey), The Open University (UK) and UniDistance Suisse (Switzerland). ADMIT is supported by the following Associated Partners: Stifterverband Fur Die Deutsche Wissenschaft, University of Pisa, Dublin City University and KU Leuven.
