The Office of Mobility of the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), organises a new Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) entitled: ‘Current Trends and Developments in International Investment Law and International Commercial & Investment Arbitration’ within the framework of the Erasmus+ mobility programme. The Scientific Supervisor is Assistant Professor, Chrystia Papakleovoulou. The BIP will take place with the participation of academics and students from eight (8) Universities in Paphos between 23 and 27 June 2025. The main objective of this Programme is to explore and present the current trends in International Arbitration, which is an alternative means of dispute resolution in many areas, such as investment and trade, through discussions and exchange of views between faculty and students.
Six (6) Universities (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, FernUniversity in Hagen, Riga Graduate School of Law, University of Hamburg, University of Kragujevac, Bucharest University of Economic Studies) from (5) countries (Greece, Germany, Latvia, Latvia, Serbia, Romania) are participating in the BIP consortium, which is coordinated by the OUC and will take place in the facilities of the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo Campus. Distinguished professors from these universities, as well as other professionals in the field will participate in the BIP through lectures, presentations and discussions.
BIPs , enable the Erasmus+ programme to provide innovative actions, as they are short term projects that promote knowledge and cooperation through advanced teaching methods.
