In the context of the CONNECT Project (Cyprus ON a mission to Engage, inspire and Connect with citizens through the European Researchers’ Night) of the Research and Innovation Foundation (IdEK) and on the occasion of World Cities Day, the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Architecture, Engineering, Land & Environmental Sciences of Neapolis University Pafos, represented by Dr. Iosif Kapellakis, Lecturer in Environmental Fluid Mechanics, participated in the “Researchers at School” Programme in visits at the Primary Schools of Chloraka-Lebas-Agios Stefanos and 6th of Paphos in Kato Paphos, and gave a speech entitled “The Role of Water in the Proper Functioning of a City”.

The main objective of the Programme is to increase the interaction between students/teachers and researchers as well as to promote the significance of research, innovation, and science in the water sector, presenting at the same time scientific and research careers as an attractive career option for the future.
