Neapolis University Pafos and Hellenic Institute of Internal Controls (HIIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, both expressing their intention to cooperate in educational, scientific and research areas of common interest and benefit.

The HIIC is a Non-Profit Association and an accredited provider of educational services on subjects like Internal Controls, Internal Auditing and other related ones. Moreover, HIIC is the only accredited institution and associated member of the Institute of Internal Controls – IIC in Greece.

The framework of the cooperation includes, among other things, the promotion of scientific knowledge on subjects of common interest, the training of undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students as well as academic staff, the provision of certification by HIIC in collaboration with the Institute of Internal Controls – IIC for the graduates and students of the Neapolis University Pafos. In addition, it is agreed by both sides to promote the development of research programs; to disseminate knowledge and information through relevant publications of articles, studies, and books; to organise workshops, lectures, conferences and seminars as well as to plan other actions of common interest.

The student-members of HIIC will have the opportunity to participate in the exams for CICA, CSS certifications, to attend seminars on Internal Controls Systems and other workshops by HIIC, to carry out their internships in companies and enterprises that cooperate with the HIIC. Moreover, graduates from the postgraduate study program MSc in Forensic Accounting which is a joint Inter-University Degree Study Programme with the University of Western Macedonia (GR) in Greece, will be eligible for Certified Control Specialist-CCS by IIC.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Rector of Neapolis University Pafos, Professor Pantelis Sklias and by the President of HIIC, Associate Professor Andreas Koutoupis.
