Organisation of a Workshop for “Horizon Europe” Strengthening the Participation of Academic and Research Organisations in the Horizontal Priority “STRENGTHENING PARTICIPATION AND ENHANCING THE EUROPEAN RESEARCH AREA”

The Research and Innovation Foundation (R&I Foundation) is organising a workshop on strengthening the participation of academic and research institutions in the Horizontal Priority “Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area (WIDERA)” of Horizon Europe. The Workshop will take place on Thursday, 20 June 2024, between 09:00 and 13:00, at the Foundation’s Event Hall (29a Michalakopoulou Street, 1075 Nicosia).
The main objective of the Workshop is to inform participants about the funding opportunities provided through the Horizon Europe Programme’s Horizontal Priority “WIDERA”, as well as to highlight important aspects for the successful preparation of proposals under the Programme.
In addition, the Workshop aims to discuss the key challenges faced by Cypriot Academic and Research Organisations, with an emphasis on privately funded organisations, in participating in the “WIDERA” Calls for Proposals.
The event is addressed to the Research Management & Support Services and Researchers of Cyprus Academic and Research Organisations. The participation of private Universities and Research Institutions is particularly encouraged in order to strengthen their participation in the WIDERA Programme.
