The CERIDES Centre-of-Excellence in Risk and Decision Sciences of the European University Cyprus, joined forces with the Cyprus Fire Service and the Cyprus Civil Defence, to present a unique booth in this year’s Cypriot Event of European Researchers’ Night.
Every year, the “European Researchers’ Night”, is a pan-European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions event taking place on the last Friday of September. ERN’s aims are to bring research and researchers closer to the public; promote excellent research projects across Europe and beyond; increase the interest of young people in science and research careers; and showcase the impact of researchers’ work on people’s daily lives, all through fun and inspiring ways!
This year’s Cypriot Event, organised by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, targeted the “EU Missions of Horizon Europe”. As such, CERIDES addressed the “Adaptation to Climate Change” Mission and showcased activities and projects under theme: “Climate Crisis and Civil Protection”, such as: PYROLIFE (also an MSCA), RESPOND-A, firEUrisk, BALANCE, EM-CITY, NEMAUSUS, and HEUREKA.
Our booth at the Event also featured, for the first time, our Partners and close Collaborators; the Cyprus Fire Service and the Cyprus Civil Defence, who showcased the research and technologies in which they are engaged through the above projects.
