CUT joins SMART HEAD project: advancing sustainable mindset and AI supported digital transformation
The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is a partner in SMART-HEAD, a new Erasmus+ project aimed at strengthening sustainable thinking and digital transformation in universities. The project responds to a growing societal need for lifestyles that support long term environmental and social well being. By combining sustainability education with advanced digital tools, SMART-HEAD seeks to reshape how students understand and apply sustainable practices in their daily lives and future careers.
The project will develop a digital ecosystem for sustainability education, supported by a methodology for using digital learning resources in higher education. It will also foster multicultural and multilingual exchange, raise student awareness and engagement, and support broader institutional transformation toward sustainable development.
SMART HEAD runs from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028 with 3 more partners, two of which alongside CUT are founding members of the European University Alliance European University of Technology. The total funding of the project is €400,000 under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2, Cooperation Partnerships.
