The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is immediately proceeding with the preparation of English-language study programmes within the framework of the EUt+ European University Alliance, in which it participates along with seven other Universities.
“I was present today at the Education Committee of the Parliament where the issue of the Regulation of the University of Cyprus was discussed in order to give the possibility to the public Universities to offer English-language undergraduate study programs”, says the Rector of CUT, Professor Panagiotis Zafiris, in a written statement.
As he states, “even though the subject of the discussion was not concluded today and will be returned to at a future meeting of the Committee, we are fully satisfied with the position of the President of the Agency for Assurance and Certification of the Quality of Higher Education (EAHEA), Professor Emeritus Mary Koutselinis, that foreign language programmes that will be offered through the Alliances of European Universities are covered by the existing framework and can proceed with the necessary procedures of the EAHEA”.
Based on this, concludes the Rector, “we will complete the preparation of English-language undergraduate study programmes in collaboration with our allies in EUt+”.
