The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), as a member of the European University of Technology (EUt+), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the PwC Foundation, in the context of strengthening its cooperation with local business organisations.
The Memorandum establishes a framework for cooperation aimed at developing joint actions in areas of common interest, with particular emphasis on the area of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” which is one of the main themes of the EUt+ Alliance, coordinated by the CUT.
Cooperation in this area seeks to create close links between the university and business communities, focusing on people and for the benefit of society, putting into practice the central motto of the EUt+ Alliance “Think Human First”.
In addition, the Memorandum opens doors for further cooperation between the 9 European Universities participating in the EUt+ Alliance, which aims to create a common European University of Technology.
The areas of cooperation include, among others:
- Support and guidance of students through Mentoring/Coaching programmes
- Organisation of educational workshops to enhance student’s skills and knowledge
- Organising events and conferences to exchange ideas and experiences on innovation and entrepreneurship
- Developing joint proposals for projects and initiatives to promote innovation and entrepreneurship
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities aimed at enhancing social contribution and sustainability.
