In August 2025, UCLan Cyprus signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cyprus-based civil society organisation Oxygen for Democracy. The MoU is focused on areas of relevance to the Centre of Excellence for the Rule of Law and European Values CRoLEV, hosted at the School of Law of UCLan Cyprus, and on the enhancement of the rule of law, democracy and civil society more generally. Joined activities will include student internships, the development of research and academic expertise, reciprocal participation to events, strengthening each other’s objectives and activities and pursuing knowledge transfer projects and public outreach.
Both organisations look forward to working with each other to further enhance joint expertise in the areas of democracy, civil society and rule of law and bring increased opportunities to the youth, professionals, civil society representatives and the wider public.
