The kick-off meeting for the new research project Infotester4Education was held on 17-18 April 2024 in Poland with the participation of a research team from the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) and the Research Centre for Algorithmic Transparency (CyCAT) based at OUC. The OUC is represented by Associate Professor Jahna Otterbacher, head of CyCAT, and PhD student Maria Kasinidou. The University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria) and Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Finland) also participate in the consortium. The project is coordinated by Science4People. The meeting was hosted by the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.
The Infotester4Education project, which has secured funding from the Erasmus+ programme, aims to address the growing problem of misinformation, particularly in the digital age, with an emphasis on its impact on democratic values and the academic environment.
