LTTA in Dresden
Towards the end of February the DIG-i-READY project partners organised a Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) in Dresden, Germany. Students with disabilities, teachers and experts shared their experiences and knowledge on both, learning and teaching digitally in VET. (Vocational Education and Training). Read more here.
They met in Austria
For the third transnational project meeting, project partners met in Linz, Austria. The partnership had the opportunity to talk about the various obstacles and successes of the project so far. The finalisation of the chapters of the Handbook was the main focus of this meeting. Read more here.
Multiplier event in Cyprus
On the annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), December 3rd 2022, EUC organised its first multiplier event for the project hosted at the European University Cyprus. During the event, the Good Practices Catalogue was presented along with two plenary speeches by Dr. Eleni Damianidou, Scientific Collaborator at EUC, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and Ms Marina Payiatsou, Services Coordinator, Committee for the Protection of People with Intellectual Disabilities; as well as a workshop by Ms Maria Mouka, research collaborator at EUC, occupational therapist at Vocational Training Center MARGARITA.
Education conference
DIGI READY achieved a major milestone by publishing the Good Practices Catalogue on digital inclusion in VET. The Catalogue is a collection and analysis of practices that were incorporated within the education sector in Europe during the COVID-19 pandemic to overcome challenges to inclusion online. Multiplier event in Latvia
Daugavpils Technical School of Technologies and Tourism (DTSS) hosted a multiplier event on 24 January 2023 at their school to raise awareness about the DIG-i-READY project. There were 27 teachers from 13 educational establishments who attended this event. Presenting the Good Practices Catalogue, participants discussed their experiences of shifting to teaching online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more here.
AAATE education conference
Lessons learned from the Dig-I-Ready Project on Digital Transition in Vocational Education for All will be presented at the 17h International Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE), being held in Paris from 30 August to 1st September.
Theodorou Eleni from the Dig-i-Ready consortium will speak at the special thematic session (STS) on Digital Inclusion and Competence Development and will present the lessons learned on Digital Transition in Vocational Education for All. Know more about this event and register here.
What next?
The project is in the last few stages with the handbook almost complete and ready for localisation. Along with localisation the consortium is also preparing to host a closing conference in Brussels to present the project results. More information to follow soon!.
