The European Court of Auditors and the European University Institute in Florence are now accepting applications for the 17th edition of their joint postgraduate research grant programme. Two research grants (€5 000 each) are available in 2023. The deadline for applications is Friday 6 October 2023.
This ECA-EUI grant programme is aimed at early-career researchers interested in the field of EU public finances and policies. Candidates from a wide range of academic disciplines are welcome to apply, including scholars of law, political science, economics, sociology, public administration, and history.
The programme is open to all current postgraduate students (master’s and doctoral candidates) and to postdoctoral students, as well as to university faculty members who have completed their master’s degree or doctorate within the past 10 years and who currently hold an academic post.
The fellowship programme was launched in 2007 and has since enabled original research on many areas of EU action and policies: the role of the EU institutions, the evolution of compliance, the development of audit methodology, shared management in policy implementation, multi-level governance, EU regional policy, the emergence of institutional norms and values, EU development policy, and much more.
