TWILIGHT: The project addresses the transformation of data centres in a two-fold approach:
- it targets the development of terabit high-speed optical transceivers;
- it introduces novel photonics and electronics co-integration and co-packaging concepts. On top of massive capacity, the technology promises significant energy savings, reduced operating costs and a lower environmental footprint.
ADMORPH aims to implement a holistic approach to safety critical Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) that detects component failures and prevents potential attacks, making them adaptive, dynamically morphing and more robust. These innovative methods and tools will be evaluated in three industrial use cases taken from radar surveillance systems and autonomous operations for aircraft to transport management systems.
Pledger is elaborating a new architectural model as well as a set of software tools to prepare the future development of the next generation of edge computing. The project will allow edge computing providers to secure the stability and effective performance of the edge infrastructures. The project is introducing the tools in the application fields of manufacturing, mixed reality and smart cities.
Background
Horizon 2020 was the EU’s multiannual funding programme between 2014 and 2020. H2020 provided Research and Innovation (R&I) funding for multi-national collaboration projects alongside individual researchers and SMEs via special funding instruments. Horizon 2020 was replaced by the Horizon Europe Programme, which will run until 2027.
