Description
European Parliament intensifies its effort for raising awareness regarding its role and actions, underlining its political nature.
In this framework, the European Parliament approved to co-finance the “Reclaiming Europe” project, a partnership between EOC and Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) that aims in raising public awareness for the European Parliament and the encouragement of public debate concerning the European decision making process.
EOC based on its members and goals, prepared in collaboration with CyBC topics for television broadcasting. Moreover, it organised events in order to involve citizens in European elections, to disseminate information regarding the European Parliament and its actions, to promote television broadcasting, and to increase the knowledge and understanding of the three pillars around which the European Parliament operates – politics, policies, values.
The project facilitated the participation of citizens in the European elections and the interest in the European decisional process.
