Description
The European Office of Cyprus (EOC) is a partner in a new € 120,328 European project. The overall objective of the project is to initiate multi-sectoral actions that promote non formal education in order to enhance the continued active engagement of older people (50+) in society.
Funded by the European Commision’s Erasmus+ Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices programme under the action Strategic Partnership for adult education, the Empower Active Ageing project will run for two years with partners from 5 different countries Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Portugal.
The partnership will develop a One Stop Service Portal which will provide useful information, training content and tools in order to give older people the chance to explore their occupational interests and opportunities to start new enterprises.
In addition, the consortium will organize face-to-face courses, group workshops and mentoring support directly related to older people who want to be more competitive or develop entrepreneurial activity.
