EISMEA aims to procure services to provide targeted administrative support for matchmaking and managing the Next Generation Innovation Talents Scheme and ensuring its smooth implementation.
The call for tenders is based on EIC Work Programme 2023, Chapter VII ‘Other Actions’, action 7 ‘Next Generation Innovation Talents’.
The Next Generation Innovation Talents Scheme will offer internships in EIC and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) supported companies. The scheme will be open to participants from various EU funded programmes under Horizon Europe (referred to as original funding bodies), such as EIC Pathfinder, European Research Council, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, Horizon Europe Research Infrastructures and the EIT.
The scheme has two main streams:
- deep tech talents: internship duration of 3 to 6 months dedicated to highly specialised work on specific project or assistance to a senior executive (CEO, CSO) as requested by the hosting company. This component will be open to PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers;
- aspiring innovators: Internship duration of up to 6 months, dedicated to more generic work experience in the host organisation. This component is open to all eligible participants as defined above.
The tasks under the contract are divided in five categories: development and management of IT platform; providing lean and agile matchmaking services and management of the scheme; organisation of stipends where relevant; communication and branding; coordination, reporting and feedback. In particular, the services procured under the resulting contract must include:
— development/deployment of a matchmaking IT platform;
— provision of lean and agile matchmaking service between interested interns and companies;
— organisation of stipends to cover additional costs of interns (when relevant);
— provision of guidance and support for applicants and companies; handling of agreements with the research institutes and the companies;
— follow up on any practical issues related to the scheme;
— organisation of information and dissemination campaigns;
— regular reporting and feedback to the contracting authority on the implementation and the effectiveness of the scheme.
