Six more 2022 Synergy Grant proposals, which were evaluated as excellent but initially put on the reserve list due to limited budget, have been now offered funding.

The ERC will be able to provide support to 35 projects involving 125 principal investigators as result of 2022 Synergy Grants competition, considering this additional funding of around 59 million euro. The scientists will carry out their research at universities and research centres in 20 countries in Europe and beyond. The most common locations where these lead researchers will be based are Germany (26 principal investigators on 17 projects) and France (24 principal investigators 16 projects).
