Switzerland has officially signed the EU Programmes Agreement, enabling full participation in major European Union programmes. Switzerland is now associated with Horizon Europe, the Euratom programme and the Digital Europe programme, opening new doors for Swiss researchers, innovators and organisations to lead and collaborate on cutting-edge projects across Europe.
This landmark agreement also sets the stage for future participation in other flagship programmes, including ITER (from 2026), Erasmus+ (from 2027) and EU4Health, strengthening cooperation in research, education and health.
