Encouraging feedback to survey on EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform

A recent survey shows that users appreciate the EU Knowledge Valorisation Platform. An important element of the platform, the Best Practice Repository, is positively rated and some respondents indicated that they learnt from other best practises and found relevant contacts. The Knowledge Valorisation Newsletter is also rated to satisfaction. Additionally, while most respondents are already satisfied with the variety of topics on the platform, many more interesting ideas have been proposed that can be addressed in the future such as AI in valorisationvalorisation of social sciences, research security and investing in new talents.

In general, users would appreciate possibilities to increase engagement with the platform and with other valorisation actors and think that the platform would benefit from more interaction opportunities, could be further improved through adding concrete networking possibilities. Proposed new actions, such as regular webinars, and a voluntary repository of contacts, are welcome and considered to improve the platform. Proposals to enhance the user-friendliness of the platform will also be taken up.

The survey was open from December 2023 to January 2024. It received input from a wide range of respondents from countries within and outside of the EU. The way respondents learnt about the platform was equally distributed amongst the Newsletter, EU Valorisation events, the EU Website, word-of-mouth, and others. Amongst the respondents were researchers, innovation managers, tech transfer experts and others who represented universities, private and public research organisations, national and regional agencies, Knowledge Transfer Offices and more.
