However\, biodiversity is being lost at an unprecedented rate\, threatening our global economic and human wellbeing. Circular economy can help us to halt and reverse biodiversity loss and support conservation efforts to bend the curve towards a nature-positive future. The event will focus on the research and innovation communities of Cyprus\, Greece\, Lithuania\, Poland\, Slovenia and Hungary\, as well as other relevant European stakeholders in order to display their strengths and ideas for future consortia in Horizon Europe calls\, with a particular focus on biodiversity and circular economy (Cluster 6). \nResearchers\, businesses\, and other organisations are invited to pitch their project ideas or activities\, related to the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 calls. Please see the calls for proposals for the Cluster 6 on biodiversity and circular economy HERE.  \nYou can either register as an attendee (you will have the opportunity to listen to the pitches) or as a pitch presenter (to present a 5-minute pitch of your ideas and activities). We encourage you to have only 1 pitch presentation per institution. As there is a limited number of pitch presentations\, the organisers reserve the right to select presenters. SUMMARY:Workshop for Potential Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Applicants
DESCRIPTION:The network of Horizon Europe National Contact Points (NCPs) for Cluster 5 ‘Climate\, Energy and Mobility’ – GREENET will organise in Cyprus (CLEOPATRA HOTEL\, 8 FLORINIS STR\, 1065 NICOSIA) \, a full-day\, on-site training\, for those taking their first steps towards a successful project application in the Horizon Europe Programme. The training will be a combination of theory with numerous practical exercises. The topics to be covered include: \n\nIntroduction to the Horizon Europe Rules of Participation\nBasic steps in participant portal\nWork programme and how to identify important points\nPartner search\nProposal template\nProposal evaluation criteria\nHow to write the impact section?\nHow to forsee risks during the project lifetime? How is risk management evaluated?\n\nThe Workshop will also include some motivating surprises and will conclude with a general revision of the material that the participants will work with during the day. \nTRAINERS:\nMs. Mari Habicht\, NCP of Estonia\nMs. Camille Dehestru\, NCP Brussels (Belgium)\nMs. Kolbrún Bjargmundsdóttir\, NCP of Iceland \nWORKING LANGUAGE: English \nTARGET AUDIENCE:\nThe Workshop is addressed to potential Cluster 5 applicants with no or limited experience in participating in Horizon Europe proposals\, from all types of organizations (universities\, researchorganizations\, local authorities\, enterprises\, including SMEs\, etc.). \nREGISTRATIONS:\nIf you are interested to participate in the Workshop\, please fill in the online registration form\, here\, until June 16\, 2023. \nIn case the interest for participation in the workshop is greater than the available seats (+/-30)\, the participants will be selected based on the relevance of their organisation’s activities with Cluster 5 activities.
