DESCRIPTION:The European Office of Cyprus – Brussels Office\, NCBR Office in Brussels – Business & Science Poland\, Slovenian Business & Research Association\, Eötvös Loránd University\, the National Research\, Development\, and Innovation Office in Hungary and the Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office in Brussels (LINO) would like to invite you to participate in their event entitled Deeping competencies in the EU – SKΙLLS on the AGENDA. \nDate : Monday\, 06 March 2023 \nLocation : Online \nTime : 11:00 CET/12:00 EST \nThe online event will focus on Skills. Firstly\, an introductory presentation on the Pact for Skills will be delivered\, one of the flagship actions of the European Skills Agenda. The Pact for Skills is the first and latest development in the new Skills Agenda for Europe initiative. It was launched on 10 November 2020\, and it aims to get public and private organisations together and encourage them to make concrete commitments to upskilling and reskilling adults. Additionally\, the first speaker from the European Commission will share the latest news and updates\, to acquire a better understanding of the aim\, what does the Pact for Skills offer\, the opportunities presented and how someone can be involved. \nSince skills are one of the building blocks of the New European Innovation Agenda\, the second presentation will focus on how the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT) will play a prominent role in its implementation. As such\, it aims to initiate a series of International Conferences focused on any research done on gypsum ecosystems. It will offer an International forum to interested scientists from around the world to present and discuss research results in all aspects related to GYPSUM ecology. DESCRIPTION:Hydrogen:\nThe missing piece of the puzzle for climate neutrality\n21 March 2023  I  09:30 – 13:00\nLINO Office / Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU\, Rue Belliard 41-43\, 1040 Brussels \nRenewable energy generation depends on the efficient use of wind and solar resources and a low-carbon baseload energy source will be crucial to achieving net-zero climate targets. Hydrogen is a significant part of the solutions puzzle together with renewable fuels and electrification. It could be touted as an energy storage vessel and eventually may form part of the solution for variable renewable energy\, especially when produced from clean power through electrolysers. Clean hydrogen should have a central place in the climate-neutral economy of the future\, and Europe must play a key role as the world’s clean hydrogen trailblazer. \nThe goal of this in-person event is to discuss the role of clean hydrogen in the EU energy system\, the EU initiatives to support the hydrogen research and market and present different activities in the hydrogen domain of each respective country.
