DESCRIPTION:International matchmaking event connects research\, industry and SMEs to explore EU funding and build strategic partnerships \nEEN Cyprus\, EEN Hellas and EEN Czechia are pleased to announce the Research and Innovation Matchmaking Event 2026\, a two-day international gathering to be held on 8-9 June at the Syggrou Estate in Marousi\, Athens. \nThe event is co-organised by key members of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)\, including the Cyprus Chamber of  Commerce and Industry\, the European Office of Cyprus (EOC)\, the National Documentation Centre (EKT)\, PRAXI Network\, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry\, the Chamber of Ioannina\, the Chamber of Kavala\, the Association of Industries of Thessaly & Central Greece\, the Federation of Enterprises and Industries of Peloponnese & Western Greece\, EVETAM S.A. (Societe Anonyme of Industrial Research\, Technological Development\, Laboratory Testing\, Certification and Quality) and the coordinator of EEN Czechia\, Czechinvest . \nThe event brings together academics\, researchers\, innovators\, entrepreneurs\, and industry representatives from Cyprus\, Greece\, Czechia and beyond. It aims to foster cross-border collaboration\, strengthen partnerships\, and support the development of competitive project consortia for major European Union funding programmes\, including Horizon Europe\, Digital Europe\, CERV\, and Creative Europe. \nDesigned for universities\, research institutions\, SMEs\, start-ups and innovation multipliers\, the matchmaking event offers a dynamic platform to exchange ideas\, explore synergies\, and initiate impactful collaborations. \nThe programme includes keynote addresses\, success stories from participating countries\, expert-led workshops on effective networking\, and multiple rounds of pitching and structured networking sessions. \nParticipants can expect: \n\nPitching sessions showcasing project ideas\, expertise\, and technology offers\nTailored matchmaking meetings aligned with participants’ profiles and interests\nNetworking opportunities connecting research\, industry\, and innovation stakeholders\nFunding-focused discussions on upcoming EU calls and strategic priorities\n\nThe event will focus on a broad range of priority topics\, including: \n\nAgriculture and Soil\nDigital Health\nAI\, Data and Advanced Digital Technologies\nNew European Bauhaus Facility\nClean Energy\, Storage and Climate Neutrality\nSmart Cities\, Sustainable Mobility and Built Environment\nWidening Participation and Spreading Excellence (WIDERA)\n\nCall for Participation  \nOrganisations interested in participating are invited to submit an expression of interest by 29 May 2026\, selecting one or more thematic areas. \nParticipants will also have the opportunity to compete for a place in the pitching sessions. DESCRIPTION:The European Commission is organising the third edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels (Belgium) on 9-13 June 2026\, and you can be part of it! \nThe NEB Festival 2026 will\, among other topics\, address the transformative power of democratic engagement in shaping more inclusive and sustainable communities. It will highlight how empowered citizens and local authorities can play an active role in creating their environments\, with a particular emphasis on affordable housing as a cornerstone of democratic participation.
