SUMMARY:Horizon Europe - New European Bauhaus Facility - Info Session & Matchmaking Event
DESCRIPTION:We would like to inform you that the European Commission is organising\, online\, an information event on the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Facility Work Programme 2025 and a networking event. \nThe NEB Facility is the first multiannual funding instrument for innovative projects for the period 2025-2027\, which aim to create sustainable\, inclusive and aesthetically high-quality living spaces in Europe. For 2025\, the NEB Facility call for proposals\, which will open on 15 May 2025\, has a budget of €118.4 million from Horizon Europe. Half of the amount – around €63 million – will fund projects that will demonstrate the practical application of NEB at local level\, while the remaining amount will fund basic research projects and other supporting actions. You can find more information on the NEB Facility here. \nInformation Event \n📄 Content: The event will present the content of the calls for proposals of the Work Programme 2025. \n📅 Date and time: 4 June 2025\, 09:30-13:00 (Central European Time)\n🔗 Registration: The event will be streamed live on the NEB website. Registration is not required to attend the event\, however interested parties are invited to fill out the form here by 1 June 2025 to receive a reminder of the event.\nℹ️ Information: Interested parties can find more information (agenda\, question process) at the link here. \nNetworking Event \n📄 Content: The event provides an opportunity to search for potential partners and develop consortia to participate in project proposals. The programme includes both the opportunity to make presentations (pitching session) and arrange face-to-face meetings (matchmaking session). SUMMARY:Unveiling the Cities Forum 2025: Empowering cities\, shaping Europe’s future
DESCRIPTION:The Cities Forum 2025 is shaping up as a crucial event for urban practitioners and policy makers. Scheduled to take place in Kraków\, Poland\, from 17–19 June\, the Forum  will be an important venue for sharing perspectives and solutions on the future of cities in the EU\, while contributing to the EU policy agenda for cities. \nOrganised under the motto “Empowering cities\, shaping Europe’s future” the event promotes the vision of cities as engines of growth\, innovation\, and sustainability in Europe. It will invite participants to provide their views\, challenges\, recommendations and practices for urban development\, while collecting inputs for contributing to the European Union’s reflections and ambitions for supporting cities in the future. \nWhat to expect?\nThe event\, co-organised by the European Commission (DG REGIO) and the European Urban Initiative (EUI)\, will gather stakeholders from all over Europe to meet and discuss on how to deliver sustainable and integrated urban development\, support multi-level governance cooperation\, and reflect jointly on  the  policy agenda for cities of the European Union. The event will promote EU initiatives and successful approaches supported by the EU Cohesion policy\, which is investing around EUR 24 billion through integrated development strategies over the 2021-2027 programming period. \nThe 2025 edition of the forum will bring together up to 800 participants\, including local and regional authorities\, policymakers and urban practitioners. Discussions will centre on some of the most pressing challenges cities face today\, including housing\, digital transformation\, social inclusion and urban mobility. The event is co-organised by the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the European Urban Initiative (EUI)\, under the responsibility of the EUI Entrusted Entity\, the Region Hauts-de-France. \nAbout the European Urban Initiative \nThe European Urban Initiative (EUI) is a key instrument of the European Union supporting the reinforced urban dimension of Cohesion policy for the programming period 2021-2027.\nWithin this  context\, the EUI encourages cities to innovate by funding the testing of new solutions to tackle multifaceted urban challenges of EU relevance and supports the capacities of all urban areas across Europe.
