DESCRIPTION:Description\nUnder the theme ‘Net-zero competitiveness driving EU energy transition’\, the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) focuses on delivering Europe’s decarbonisation through green technologies and solutions towards a fair and just transition for people and competitive businesses. \nDISCOVER THE PROGRAMME \nREGISTER HERE \nFrom 11 to 13 June 2024\, EUSEW will take place in Brussels and online and include: \n\na policy conference with plenary and policy sessions covering topics related to net-zero technologies\, cities and citizens\, renewables\, energy efficiency\, and international cooperation;\nthe prestigious EUSEW Awards;\na networking village within the Energy Fair;\nthe fifth edition of the European Youth Energy Day\n\nIn addition\, a series of locally organised Sustainable Energy Days will take place from April to June\, across Europe and beyond\, to promote clean energy and energy efficiency. \nEUSEW is open to international organisations\, university associations\, national and local authorities\, professional associations\, NGOs working in the field of sustainable development\, consumer associations\, research organisations\, EU-funded projects\, EU institutions\, and more. \nAn Info Session is taking place online on Wednesday 15 November at 11.00 CET with a run-through of all major calls and deadlines\, as well as the application procedure to propose a policy conference session and take part in the awards. Interested participants will have the chance to ask questions and find out how organisations can get involved in the event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBackground\nThe European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. It comprises a series of activities aimed at building a secure energy future for Europe. DESCRIPTION:UCLan Cyprus University invites you to the seminar entitled “Implementing Strategy through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)”\, on Wednesday\, June 12\, 2024 from 08:30-17:00. The instructor of the seminar is Mr. Panikos Sardos\, Associate Lecturer in Leadership\, Management and Operations Strategy at UCLan Cyprus University. \nThe seminar is addressed to Executive Directors\, Managers and Senior Executives. \nThe aim of the seminar is to explain: \n\nWhat is strategy\, its various forms\, and the tools for creating strategy.\nWhat are strategy-related concepts such as BSC-ICC (Balanced Score Card)\, strategic.\n“themes”\, CSFs and KPIs.\nHow to implement the strategy through the Critical Indicators.\nHow critical projects are selected to achieve the strategy.\nHow to develop the components of a sound measurement system.\nHow to use Critical Indicators to achieve objectives and effective management.\n\nObjectives for participants: \n\nTo learn about the importance of strategy\, its various forms\, and the tools for developing it.\nTo become familiar with the concepts of: IKA (BSC)\, strategic “themes”\, CSFs and KPIs.\nTo learn how to implement the strategy.\nBy using the ICA – Balanced Scorecard.\nAlternatively by using the CSFs.\nTranslating the strategy into targets and KPIs.\nTo become familiar with the critical characteristics of KPIs.\nTo learn to select critical projects and prepare an action plan to achieve KPIs\nTo know the requirements of a sound measurement system.\nTo recognise the usefulness of KPIs as a tool for strategy implementation and\,\neffective management.\n\nInstructor CV \nMr. Panikos Sardos holds an MBA (distinction) from CIIM and an MSc (distinction) from Imperial College London University. He writes on management topics on the professional network LinkedIn. He is a certified Vocational Training Trainer of the Human Resources Development Authority (HRD) Since January 2012 he has been the Executive Director of P&E Sardos Business Solutions International. He is a lecturer at UCLan Cyprus University since 2018 and teaches or has taught MBA: Operations Management and Strategy\, Leadership and Management\, International Strategic Change to postgraduate students. From 2004 until January 2012\, he was the Director of the Nicosia-Kernia-Morfu District of AHK and previously served in several senior management positions. In the position of Regional Director he was responsible for more than 500 staff consisting of managers\, scientific\, technical and clerical staff.
