DESCRIPTION:he 2nd Gypsum Ecosystems Research Conference will be held on March 20-24\, 2023 in Nicosia (Lefkosia) Cyprus\, and will be jointly organised by the Open University of Cyprus and the Department of Forests. \nThe Conference is organised in the context of the GYPWorld – A global initiative to understand gypsum ecosystem ecology project\, which is funded by the Horizon 2020 – Marie Curie Research & Innovation Staff Exchange Programme. \nThis conference originates from the activity of the GYPNET network\, a network of scientists working on gypsum ecosystems and is part of the activities of the H2020 GYPWORLD project\, aiming at promoting international research on gypsum ecosystems. As such\, it aims to initiate a series of International Conferences focused on any research done on gypsum ecosystems. It will offer an International forum to interested scientists from around the world to present and discuss research results in all aspects related to GYPSUM ecology. The conference brings together academics\, researchers and professionals and offers keynote speaker sessions\, oral talks and poster presentations providing an ideal forum for scientific interactions and interchange of ideas.\n\n\nThe official language of the conference will be English. \n\nMore Info: https://bit.ly/40QOB9v

DESCRIPTION:Hydrogen:\nThe missing piece of the puzzle for climate neutrality\n21 March 2023  I  09:30 – 13:00\nLINO Office / Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the EU\, Rue Belliard 41-43\, 1040 Brussels \nRenewable energy generation depends on the efficient use of wind and solar resources and a low-carbon baseload energy source will be crucial to achieving net-zero climate targets. Hydrogen is a significant part of the solutions puzzle together with renewable fuels and electrification. It could be touted as an energy storage vessel and eventually may form part of the solution for variable renewable energy\, especially when produced from clean power through electrolysers. Clean hydrogen should have a central place in the climate-neutral economy of the future\, and Europe must play a key role as the world’s clean hydrogen trailblazer. \nThe goal of this in-person event is to discuss the role of clean hydrogen in the EU energy system\, the EU initiatives to support the hydrogen research and market and present different activities in the hydrogen domain of each respective country.
