The Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea), has published a call for tenders concerning two studies: “A study on the added value of the strategic and life-course approach to vaccination and a study on shortcomings related to low vaccination coverage in health care workers” - No Chafea/2015/Health/51
These studies are intended to provide information about ongoing assessments in view of the Commission´s future vaccination policy, identified in the EU Council Conclusions, as well as the EU Council recommendation, on vaccinations (and on seasonal influenza vaccination) as an effective tool in public health. The aim of such a policy framework is to support Member States in a holistic and life-course approach to vaccination.
Each study has to include a representative number of Member States with a broad coverage as regards the variety of the governmental or constitutional structure/political concept, available legislative and managerial frameworks for programme coordination, vaccination programme performance, available programme capacities (infrastructure, human resources) within the EU. In addition, it is important to include six EU big countries (concerning the number of inhabitants, and representing approx. 70 % of the EU population), and at least 10 other EU Member States, from different geographical areas. The total budget for this contract is 220.000 EUR, while its duration is 11 months. Interested stakeholders should submit their tenders until 13 September 2016.
